The Tata group on Wednesday sold 1.03 crore shares of Tata Consultancy Services, making it one of the most traded stocks in the Nifty pack.
The sale amount works up to more than one per cent stake in the company. A total of 1.31 crore equity shares of TCS exchanged hands on the NSE on Wednesday.
The share price of TCS dipped 2.4 per cent on the NSE on Wednesday to close at Rs635.35.
Promoter group company Tata Ltd sold the shares through the bulk deal route at Rs 615.04 a piece, bringing the seller around Rs 633.94 crore.
