Mothercare has seen its profits soar nearly 10-fold after its takeover of Early Learning Centre (ELC) delivered benefits "beyond expectations".
The company reported annual pre-tax profits of £42.2m, up from £4.5m a year ago, when it was affected by costs relating to the integration of ELC.
