Infosys net drops 3.6 % to Rs. 1,582 cr in Q3
Software services major Infosys Technologies reported revenues of Rs. 5,741 crore in the third quarter of 2009-10. Although these were lower by 0.8 per cent when compared with the earnings in the same quarter of the previous years, top officials of the company said a recovery of the software services industry was imminent. In dollar terms, revenues amounted to $1,232 million in the last quarter, an increase of 5.2 per cent on a year-on-year basis. The company reported a net profit of Rs. 1,582 crore during the quarter, a decline by 3.6 per cent over last year. In dollar terms, however, it made a net profit of $334 million, an increase of 0.6 per cent. Earnings per share (in rupee terms) declined by 3.2 per cent on an annualised basis.

HCL Infosystems' Q4 net down 7%

PAT for the quarter was Rs 60.4 crore, compared with Rs 65.1 crore in the year ago period.

A.P. Møller - Mærsk A/S – Maersk Oil acquires Devon assets in the Gulf of Mexico
The fully owned subsidiary of A.P. Møller - Mærsk A/S, Mærsk Olie og Gas A/S ("Maersk Oil"), has today through a US subsidiary entered into an agreement with Devon Energy Production Company, L.P. ("Devon") for Maersk Oil's purchase of Devon’s interests in the Cascade, Jack and St. Malo fields in the Gulf of Mexico.
The transaction comprises a 50% participating interest in the Cascade field and a 25% participating interest in each of the Jack and St. Malo fields. Maersk Oil will pay a total cash consideration to Devon of USD 1.3 billion for the assets. Ahead of on-stream production, Maersk Oil’s estimated additional investment is expected to be in the range of USD 1.3 - 1.8 billion, going up to around USD 4 billion over time
Radware Raises Guidance for Q4 2009 Financial Results
Radware (NASDAQ: RDWR), the leading provider of integrated application delivery solutions for business-smart networking, today raised its guidance for the fourth quarter of 2009. MphasiS net profit up 121 p.c. in FY09
The MphasiS Group, a provider of applications services, remote infrastructure services and business process outsourcing services, reported on Tuesday a consolidated revenue of Rs 4,263.9 crore for the year ended 31 October 2009 as compared to Rs 2,977.4 crore last year, registering a growth of 43.2 per cent.
During the same period, net profit increased by 121.2 per cent from Rs. 410.7 crore to Rs 908.7 crore, while operating profit was Rs 925.2 crore, a growth of 131.3 per cent in comparison to the previous year, said a press release.
